Joan reached out to us because her home was constantly uncomfortable, with her HVAC system struggling to keep up. When we inspected her attic, we found the root of the problem—only 6 inches of old fiberglass insulation, which was far below the recommended level. This lack of insulation allowed heat to transfer freely, making her home inefficient and difficult to cool in the summer and warm in the winter. To fix this, we performed a full attic restoration and upgraded her insulation to the Energy Star-recommended R38 level.
We started by safely removing the old, ineffective insulation and thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing the attic with Nisus DSV disinfectant to eliminate dust, allergens, and contaminants. Next, we sealed all air leaks around top plates, plumbing penetrations, and electrical wiring using closed-cell foam, preventing conditioned air from escaping. We also secured any potential rodent entry points to keep pests out. Once the attic was properly prepped, we blew in premium fiberglass insulation to an R38 level, ensuring optimal thermal performance and year-round comfort.
Thanks to this attic restoration, Joan’s home will now stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, with lower energy bills and improved indoor air quality. Another successful project by Tyson Insulation!
Ana recently completed an addition to her home in Fresno, CA, and needed insulation installed quickly to meet building code requirements before an upcoming inspection. Since the space had no existing insulation, it was essential to bring it up to the proper R38 standard for maximum energy efficiency and year-round comfort.
We installed premium blown-in fiberglass insulation, ensuring the new space met California’s insulation code. This upgrade will help regulate indoor temperatures, keeping the home comfortable in both hot summers and cooler winters while reducing future heating and cooling costs.
With her insulation now up to code, Ana’s home addition is ready for inspection, and she can enjoy a well-insulated, energy-efficient space for years to come.
Mary from Hanford was struggling with high energy bills and an uncomfortably warm home, despite running her air conditioning regularly. After inspecting her attic, we discovered she only had 4 inches of old cellulose insulation, which was far below the recommended level. Additionally, poor attic ventilation was trapping heat, making her cooling system work overtime.
To improve her home’s efficiency and comfort, we installed a solar attic fan, which helps expel trapped heat and regulate attic temperatures. This reduces strain on the HVAC system, leading to better cooling performance and lower energy costs. We also added premium blown-in fiberglass insulation, bringing the attic up to an R38 level—the ideal standard for thermal efficiency in California homes.
With these upgrades, Mary will now enjoy a more comfortable home year-round, lower utility costs, and improved HVAC efficiency. Her attic is now well-insulated and properly ventilated, ensuring her home stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Jose contacted Tyson Energy Solutions because his Fresno home was struggling with poor insulation, making it difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature. His air conditioner was running almost non-stop in the summer, leading to high energy bills. When we inspected his attic, we found that he only had 5 inches of old fiberglass insulation—far below the recommended level for energy efficiency.
To address this issue, we performed a complete insulation upgrade. We started by preparing the attic space, ensuring proper ventilation and sealing any minor gaps that could contribute to air leakage. Then, we installed high-quality fiberglass insulation, bringing the attic up to the Energy Star-recommended R38 level. With this upgrade, Jose’s home will now retain cool air more effectively in the summer and stay warmer in the winter, significantly reducing the strain on his HVAC system.
As a result of this insulation upgrade, Jose will enjoy a more energy-efficient home, lower heating and cooling costs, and year-round comfort. His home is now better equipped to handle Fresno’s extreme temperatures, ensuring long-term savings and improved indoor air quality.
Dan reached out to Tyson Energy Solutions because his home in Fresno was constantly struggling with temperature regulation. No matter how much he ran his air conditioning, his house remained warm and uncomfortable, leading to skyrocketing energy bills. Upon inspection, we discovered only 3 inches of old cellulose insulation in the attic, which was far below the recommended levels. Additionally, we found signs of air leakage and attic contamination that were contributing to poor indoor air quality.
To restore Dan’s attic, we began by removing all the old, ineffective cellulose insulation. We then performed a deep cleaning and sanitation of the entire space using Nisus DSV, a powerful disinfectant designed to eliminate bacteria, mold, and other airborne contaminants. Next, we thoroughly air-sealed all potential leakage points, including gaps around plumbing, electrical penetrations, and top plates, to prevent conditioned air from escaping.
Once the attic was fully prepped, we installed brand-new, high-performance fiberglass insulation at an optimal R38 level, ensuring that Dan’s home would be more energy-efficient and comfortable year-round. The added insulation will help reduce strain on his HVAC system, cutting down on energy consumption and lowering his monthly utility bills.
With this full attic restoration, Dan’s home is now significantly more comfortable, with improved indoor air quality and a well-regulated indoor temperature. He can now enjoy up to 50% off his heating and cooling bills and a healthier living environment for years to come.
