Daniel contacted us because he was looking for a solution to his high cooling bills and hot, uncomfortable temperatures in his home. We inspected his attic and discovered that Daniel’s home only had about 4-5 inches of old, dirty insulation present. The floor joists were visible through the insulation, indicating thermal bridging, or heat flow from the hot attic into the living spaces of the home through the ceiling. We determined that a comprehensive attic restoration was necessary to help Daniel to achieve his goals.

We began by removing all of the old insulation and debris in the attic. We then cleaned and sanitized the space using DSV sanitizer to eliminate irritants and contaminants. We then sealed all air leakage points with closed-cell foam to help prevent air from flowing between the home’s living spaces and the attic. We also installed rodent-proof barriers at potential entry points so as to prevent rodents and other pests from entering. Lastly, we blew in premium, fiberglass insulation to a height of 14 inches, or R38, the Energy Star minimum recommended level.

Because of the full attic restoration we did, Daniel and his family will experience a cool, comfortable home during the summer months, a warmer home during winter, better indoor air quality, and reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 50% for the life of their home.

Wilma and her husband contacted Tyson Energy Solutions because their home was unbearably hot. They had lived in their home for 20 years and didn’t believe their attic insulation had ever been upgraded. When we checked out their attic and discovered that there was only about 3 inches of insulation present and it was littered with debris. We determined that an attic restoration was needed to make their home cool and comfortable, and also save a significant amount of money on their monthly cooling and heating costs.

We began by removing all of the old insulation and debris. We then cleaned and sanitized the attic using DSV sanitizer, eliminating irritants and contaminants. Next, we installed rodent-proof barriers to prevent rodents and other pests from entering the space. We also meticulously air-sealed any potential leakage points to prevent air from leaking between the attic and the living spaces of the home. Lastly, we blew in 14 inches of premium, fiberglass insulation, bringing the attic to an R38 level.

As a result of the comprehensive attic restoration we performed, Wilma and her husband will enjoy a cool, comfortable home during the summer, a warmer home during winter, and reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 50% for as long as they live in their home.

David contacted us because he had just moved to a new house. At his previous house, we had done an attic restoration for him and he loved the results, so he wanted the same thing done at his new house as well. He noticed that his home was hot and stuffy during the summer months, and as a result, his cooling costs were high. He also wanted a whole house fan installed so that it would make his home even more comfortable and help reduce his air conditioner dependency even further.

We began by sucking out all of the old insulation and removing the debris in the attic. We then painstakingly air-sealed all of the holes, gaps, and cracks in the attic using closed-cell foam. This included all top plates, recessed lights, registers, and wiring and plumbing penetrations. Next, we cleaned the attic using DSV sanitizer to eliminate irritants and contaminants. We also installed rodent-proof barriers to prevent rodents and other pests from entering the attic. We then blew in premium, fiberglass insulation to an R38 level. Lastly, we installed a QuietCool Stealth Pro 4.8 whole house fan.

As a result of the work we performed, David will enjoy a cool, comfortable home during summer, a warm home in winter, and reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 50-90% for as long as he lives in that home.

Joshua contacted us to do an attic restoration to improve his home’s comfort and reduce his heating and cooling costs. When we were in the attic doing the work, we noticed that his HVAC ducts were in desperate need of replacement. They were old, leaking air, and were filthy inside and outside. Joshua decided that he wanted us to replace six ducts in total. This would help his HVAC system run more efficiently and improve his indoor air quality.

We removed all of the old ducts and disposed of them. We then expertly installed the new, insulated flex ducts, which are longer-lasting and will stand up to the brutal heat and cold of the attic.

As a result of the duct replacement we performed, Joshua and his family will notice a more efficient HVAC system and cleaner indoor air quality.

Jeff contacted us because we had installed a whole house fan for him but as it was getting closer to summer, he wanted to upgrade his insulation. We had informed him that his insulation was low when we installed the whole house fan in January, but he wanted to upgrade his insulation at a later date. When we initially inspected his attic, we observed that his insulation was low — only about 4 inches. He knew from our previous visit that upgrading his insulation would keep the cool air in his house longer and reduce his dependency on his air conditioner during the summer.

We began the insulation upgrade by sealing off visible holes, gaps, and cracks. This helps to prevent air from flowing between his attic and the living spaces of his home. Next, we blew in premium, fiberglass insulation up to an R38 level, or 14 inches.

As a result of the insulation upgrade, Jeff and his family will enjoy a cooler, more comfortable home during summers, a warmer home during winters, and reduced heating and cooling costs for the life of their home.
